United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Youth League (UKKCYL) was formally established on 6th February 2011 at the Unit Leaders and Directors Meet in Mid Wales. The first elected National Council & Executive Committee came into existence on that auspicious day.

UKKCYL organises and conducts various programmes for our members such as:

  • Junior Camps

  • Senior Camps

  • Leadership Camps

  • Youth Fest

  • Charity work

  • Sports events

  • Educational workshops / talks

  • Youth conventions such as THEKKANS

  • Various other national level cultural and spiritual events

The Archeparchy of Kottayam is our mother Diocese. Mar Mathew Moolakkatt, the Archbishop of Kottayam, gave his blessings and entrusted Fr. Saji Malayilputhenpurayil with the formation of UKKCYL, in accordance with the by-laws of KCYL and the necessary amendments to suit the land of UK. Link to their website: http://kottayamad.org/

United Kingdom Knanaya Catholic Association (UKKCA), our parental organisation, also agreed to the formation of UKKCYL during their National Council held on 12th April 2008. Link to their website: https://www.ukkca.com/

UKKCYL Membership Eligibity

To become a UKKCYL Member, as per the by-law, one must be a Knanaya Catholic born to both Knanaya Catholic parents, between the ages of 14 to 30, unmarried and a UK resident.
